Clay County Historical Society Meeting - Honor Flight Network

Thursday, April 27, 2023

The Clay County Historical Society will meet on May 1 at 7 pm in the lower lever meeting room.

The Board will meet at 6:00 pm in the board room.  Leesa Nesty will be our guest speaker for the evening.

Leesa has been involved with the Indy Honor Flight for the last five years, and she just recently returned home as an escort from an Honor Flight with well-known local Veteran Joe Holechko to Washington, DC.

There are over 125 hubs across the country from the Honor Flight Network. These hubs and their volunteers truly make our mission a success. They freely donate their time and talents to coordinate flights, bus trips, welcome-home ceremonies, thousands of phone calls, and so much more – all to honor our nation’s heroes with the trip of a lifetime.  There are 4 Hubs in Indiana, Indianapolis, Ft. Wayne, Lafayette, and Evansville.

Honor Flight Network currently honors those who served during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War and veterans of any service era who are critically ill.

The Historical Society is inviting you to attend this interesting meeting.

Refreshments and a social time will follow the meeting.
