Loretta Frye, 62, was released from this life on April 26, 2023, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born in Clay County on August 16, 1960, to the late Darrell and Dinah (Waymire) Moore. Loretta graduated from Brazil High School in 1979 and married Charley Frye. She worked as the housekeeping and laundry supervisor at the Clay County Health Center.

After retirement, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Loretta enjoyed mushroom hunting, working in her yard, and arranging flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley; and her brothers, Darrell “Dink” Moore and Kevin Moore; nephews, Darrell Ray Moore, Dillon Wright, and Stephen Whitsaul; niece Jessica Giacone; as well as her cousins John Bradley and Brian Wayne Moore.

She is survived by her son, Chris (Mikayla) Frye; daughters, Misty Frye and Ashley Frye; brothers, Bill (Kelly) Moore and Steve Moore; sisters, Jayne Moore and Amy Moore; grandchildren, Kayeden and Kacen; nephews, David (Brittany) Moore and Billy Moore; Nieces, Tina Moon, Ina (Dallas) Wright, Chass (Keith) Waggle, Jenny (Jacob) McClelland, Daryl (Curtis) Smith, Pam Moore, Brittney (Alex) Wiley and Savannah Wright.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Stoney Lalen officiating and burial to follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
