The Clay County Historical Society will be meeting on Monday, June 5, at 7 PM,

in the meeting room on the lower level. The guest speaker will be Dr. Tony Stringfellow, of Sullivan, an area expert in Indiana pottery, especially Clay County pottery.

Dr. Stringfellow and his brother, individually, have two of the largest collections known. He is also a valuable education source and very knowledgeable of identification for all pieces of pottery, not just Indiana. The museum has some local pottery on display in the Clay Room.

The museum is now open Thursday through Saturday, 12 noon to 5 pm. Group tours may be

scheduled by calling the museum during business hours. Please note the July Meeting will be moved to July 10 due to the July 4th holiday.

The public is always welcome to attend the monthly membership meetings. Refreshments and a social time will follow the program.
