Clay City senior Faith Toolose is involved in SADD, National Honors Society, and volleyball. Toolose also plays COA club volleyball outside of school.

Faith is currently doing an internship at J&N Metal Products.

“I am interested in going into business, and my dad works there, so he thought it would be a good idea [for me to intern there].”

Unlike most interns, Toolose will be gaining experience from two different businesses, as she is only interning at J&N Metal Products for the first semester of her senior year. For the second semester, Faith will be interning at Hoosier Aviation.

“[Interning at Hoosier Aviation will] give me an opportunity to work and learn business at a woman-owned business in a prominently male-dominated field.”

Toolose states that her proudest accomplishment so far is being a varsity athlete throughout high school while also maintaining a high GPA and being a member of National Honors Society.

One of Faith’s favorite memories of high school has been beating Shakamak High School in volleyball this year.

“Before that game, our team hadn’t really been playing all together, and that night we all just brought a lot of energy to the floor and fought hard all five sets.”

In the future, Faith plans on going to college to play volleyball. She wants to pursue a degree in psychology, criminology, or healthcare. Toolose explains that she is interested in all these fields, but she has not decided which she will major in.

Faith names her father as a large role model in her life and explains that she looks up to him.

“I look up to my dad because he came from a family that was not very supportive of him and his goals, but he’s a great dad and has been by my side every day for everything that I do. I hope to one day be a great parent and keep striving and achieving all my personal goals like he did
