First Baptist Church

Join us on October 15 at 10:30 a.m. for Sunday Morning Worship. The Rev. Dr. Quentin Madden will present his sermon entitled “The Final Authority” based on the text 1 Corinthians 8:1-13. You may come to the in-person service or connect via Facebook or YouTube or listen to the broadcast in the church parking lot on 88.9 FM. Assistive listening devices are also available for use in the sanctuary.

The Women’s Bible Study that normally meets on Friday mornings will take a break on October 13 and 20 and resume at 9 a.m. on October 27.

Operation Christmas Child is in full swing now through November 12. This program provides a shoebox full of hygiene items, school supplies, fun things, and the gospel message to children around the world who might otherwise receive no gift at Christmas. Consider how you want to participate. You can pack your own shoebox, buy items in bulk and let the Youth pack it, or just donate to the cause. See Rachel Collins for more information.

Mark your calendars for October 20 at 6 p.m. for Family Fun Night. The fire pit will be lit. Come enjoy fellowship around the campfire in addition to good food and games.

A Missions Dinner will be held immediately after Sunday Morning Worship on October 29. The committee will provide beans, chili, and cornbread. You are asked to bring a side dish or dessert. See the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the education wing.

You are invited to join us at the following weekly services: Sunday School classes for all ages begin at 9:30 a.m. Worship service follows at 10:30 a.m. On Wednesday evenings Choir Practice is held at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary; dinner is served at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall; and at 7 p.m. separate Bible studies are held for Youth and Adults. On Thursday a Men’s Prayer Breakfast is held at Sunrise & Dine at 9 a.m. On Friday a Women’s Bible Study is held at the church at 9 a.m.
