James Edward Heagy Sr., 83, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away at his home, on November 2, 2023.

Jim was born on April 16, 1940, in Pittsboro, Indiana, the son of Raymond L. and Ruth (Cocherell) Heagy. He graduated from Pittsboro High School with the class of 1958. Jim worked as a Journeyman in Industrial Maintenance with UAW 2382. When he wasn’t working, Jim enjoyed fishing, tinkering with lawn mowers and small engines, making model airplanes, gardening, attending auctions, and having morning coffee at McDonalds with his friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents: Raymond and Ruth Heagy; grandson Eli Heagy; siblings: Roberta Shelby, Raymond Heagy Jr., Kenneth Heagy, Danny Heagy, and Donald Heagy.

Jim is survived by his children: James Heagy Jr., Michael Heagy, Christopher Heagy, Jamie Lewis and husband Daniel, Pamela Albury and husband Chad, and Matthew Heagy; grandchildren: Sabrina, Walter, Chandler, Cheyanna, Evelyn, Cameron, Gabrielle, Gavin, Xander, Quinten, Elaina, Olivia, and Leslie; siblings: Patty Ann Hatcher and Arthur Heagy; niece Kathy Jackson; as well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
