LARRY WAYNE ELDRIDGE, Brazil, IN

Larry Wayne Eldridge, 83, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023.

Born in 1940, Larry was a lifelong resident of Brazil, graduating from Brazil High School in 1957.

Larry was employed for over 30 years at Alcan Aluminum, (now called Novelis,) as a certified industrial mechanic. He was a member of the Masonic Temple in Knightsville, Indiana, a member of the Terre Haute Scottish Rite, and an active member of Zorah Shrine all for most of his 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. He was also a member of First Christian Church of Brazil. Larry and his beautiful wife, Sharon, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on September 16th of this year.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Whitner Buffington, father Stanley Raymond Eldridge, stepfather Carl Buffington, brothers Donald Eugene and Stanley Albert Eldridge, sisters-in-law Veleda and Phyllis Eldridge, brother-in-law Max Kidwell, niece Anita Wilson, and nephews Stanley Richard (Butch) Eldridge, and William (Bill) Kidwell.

He is survived by his loving wife Sharon, their daughter Lanna and her husband Julio Santos, brother Jack Eldridge, sister Joyce Kidwell, sister Stella Modesitt, nieces Maxine (Jeff) Miller, Beverly (John) Turner, Mary Kidwell, and Georgia Modesitt, and nephews Michael (Becky) Eldridge, Robert (Mary) Kidwell, Alva (Kathy) Eldridge, Gordon (Cris) Eldridge, and a host of great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 14, at French Funeral Home in Brazil, Indiana from 4:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday at French beginning at 11:00am, and ending at Union Cemetery (east of the airport on CR 600 North.)
