Wanda Lee (Selvia) Froderman, a beloved 95 year-old Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 5th, 2023 at Westminster Village Health and Rehab in Terre Haute, IN. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever live in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.

Born on November 4, 1928 in Vigo County, Wanda Froderman was the daughter of Edgar Selvia and Bertha (Mooter) Selvia. Moving to Terre Haute after graduation from Fayette High School in 1946 she was briefly employed at Downtown Chevrolet where she met her future husband Carl Froderman. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother and sister-in-law, Ray Selvia (Jo) and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Esten Fuson (Norma).

Wanda Froderman was a founding member and past President of the Christian Women’s Club as well as a founding member of World Gospel Church. Both in Terre Haute, IN. She was also active with the Gideons Lady Auxiliary, The Light House Mission and served on the Froderman Foundation Board for over 45 years. She traveled abroad on various mission trips, building structures, and witnessing to people on other continents as well as in the United States.

Wanda Froderman was a devoted family member. She treasured moments spent with loved ones, creating a home filled with warmth and laughter. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support endeared her to family and friends alike. She is survived by two daughters, Pam (Charles) Blesch and Sharon Clarke and one son, Chris (Ann) Froderman. She was also blessed with seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Numerous nephews and nieces all will remember Aunt Wanda.

Wanda Froderman had a profound love for God, and her enthusiasm was infectious. Whether it was church, visitation or choir, she approached life with a sense of joy and a contagious spirit that touched everyone around her.

In times of joy and sorrow, Wanda Froderman maintained a resilience and grace that inspired those who knew her. Her optimism and strength were a source of comfort during difficult times, and she faced life’s challenges with courage and determination.

Wanda Froderman’s passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will forever be cherished by her family. In honoring her life, let us remember the lessons she taught us about love, compassion, and mercy.

The family would like to thank and recognize the staff of Westminster Village, Dr. Jon Stockrahm and staff, Hands That Serve and Hospice of the Wabash Valley for their caring and comfort during Wanda’s last days.

A celebration of Wanda Froderman’s life will be held on December 12th at Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 N Clinton St, Terre Haute, IN 47805. Family viewing will be at 1:30 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm officiated by Rev. Charles Lake (ret) and Chaplain Mike Bennett. A fellowship with friends and family will follow from 3 pm to 4 pm.
