Stephen Alexander Nadolny, 77, of Bowling Green, Indiana passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on January 8, 2024.

Steve was born on February 25, 1946, in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of John and Ruby (Yarbrough) Nadolny. He graduated from high school and then Memphis State College with bachelor’s degree in accounting. Steve went on to earn a CPA license and worked as a controller for banks in Tennessee, Texas, and Colorado. He married Lynne Cochran on December 21, 1984. They moved back to Lynne’s hometown of Bowling Green and Steve began working for First Bank and Trust as their controller, federal compliance officer, and Executive Vice President. Once the bank closed, he worked for Columbian Home Products as their controller and retired after 16 years.

Steve was a member of Cory Nazarene Church. He had also been on the Clay County Hospital Foundation.

When Steve wasn’t working he enjoyed gardening, working in his “orchard”, woodworking, and collecting old cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ruby Nadolny and his sister Janice Hamilton.

Steve is survived by his wife Lynne Cochran Nadolny; children: Paul Nadolny and wife Kelly, Stephanie Nadolny, Amy Antes, and Kevin Hicks; grandchildren: Sarah Nadolny, Grace Nadolny, Saoirse Antes, Ella Antes, Elijah Antes, Addison Hicks, and Kaden Hicks; great-grandchildren: Elowyn, Rowan, and Sequoia; “favorite” mother-in-law Coral Cochran; a brother Michael Nadolny; and a sister Cathy Collie and husband Andy as well as several extended family members.

Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Services will follow, at the funeral home, with Rev. Rick Marshall and Pastor Pat Shay officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
