Ethel E. Stevenson, 86, passed away February 7, 2024 at The Belmont Health and Rehabilitation in Columbus, Indiana. Ethel was born to the late Harvie and Gladys (Flockhart) Brown in Clay County on September 9, 1937.

Ethel graduated from Brazil High School in 1955. Later that year she married her husband, Donald Stevenson who preceded her in death in 2021. Ethel was a lifetime member of Union United Church in Brazil. Serving the Lord and others was Ethel’s top priority in life. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who may need it. Family was another major cornerstone of her life.

Ethel is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald Ray Stevenson, and a brother, Gilbert Brown and his wife Rae.

Ethel is survived by her two children, Denny Ray Stevenson (Jane) and Julie Dawn Begin, three grandsons, Luke and Lance Erb, and Jeremy Stevenson, and 9 great grandchildren, Lachlan, Cyrus, Neorah, Galina, Greyson, Finnton, Ada May, Skyelar and Beckett.

A visitation will be held Saturday, February 10th from 11- 1 at French Funeral Home, 421 East National Avenue in Brazil. A funeral service will begin at 1 P.M. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
