SENIOR SPOTLIGHT - NHS CAELEN BELL

Thursday, March 14, 2024

Caelen Bell is a senior at Northview High School. He is involved in football and basketball. Bell states that his favorite part of participating on these teams is his teammates.

“I would have to say [that] my favorite part about being on a team is the team itself. Every time I was down, my teammates would pick me up.”

Caelen is grateful for the opportunity to participate on these teams, noting that his teammates have taught him multiple valuable themes.

“I would say... they've taught me a lot, mainly about how to be a better person and how not to give up on my dreams and about real friendships.”

Bell explains that his proudest accomplishment was scoring his first touchdown against Edgewood. Caelen did not attend Northview for all four years of high school, so this event was especially important to him.

“I know that's a very small accomplishment, but it made my previous bad experience with other schools go away.”

Caelen describes the positive effect that the crowd had on him while he was on the field.

“Once you hear everyone in the stands cheering you on, and even if it's only for five seconds, it still gave me a boost of happiness and love and support from the school and fans.”

When asked of a role model, Bell says that he looks up to his older brother. He says that he has had a large impact on his life and wouldn't be where he is today without him.

“My number one role model is probably my big brother because we've been through a lot in the past couple years, and if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be the athlete or even person I am today.”

At some point in his life, Caelen would love to see the different parts of the world.

“Something I would really like to do in the future is just travel the world and see different artifacts.”
