GOOD NEWS - Recycling Center now open

Ready, set, recycle

A free recycling area center is open for all Brazil residents at Republic Services, formerly known as Wallace Brothers. The center is located at 2066 West County Road 850 North, Brazil, right next to the Republic facility. Recycling has been an issue for several years, and Mayor Brian Wyndham wanted to do something about it.

“We were happy to work with the mayor to resolve this issue,” said Kenneth Depasse, Republic Governmental Affairs. It will be open daily and Saturday mornings during normal business hours. We have signage that explains what we accept and what we don’t. It is a drive-through, making it a very simple process for everybody.”

People must use the back entrance (or second entrance on County Road 200 West) at the Republic facility, next to the scale station.

“We wanted to get back to where the people who are concerned and everybody who does can recycle locally. Brazil residents on a Republic trash route should get a letter explaining what they can recycle and what is not accepted.”
