Peyton Lear is a senior at Northview High School. He is involved in Varsity Club. Peyton has also played Northview baseball for four years, football for two years, tennis for two years, and basketball for two years. Outside of school, he enjoys going to the YMCA, hunting, fishing, playing pickleball, golfing, and going to the lake with his friends.

Lear participates in Northview’s internship program and interns at Britt Aero.

“I chose Britt Aero because I get to experience a lot of different things that can help me later in life. I also get to see the business side of Britt Aero, and that’s what I am going to school for.”

In the future, Peyton will attend Indiana Wesleyan University to continue his academic and athletic careers.

“[Playing collegiate baseball] has been my goal ever since I started playing baseball ever since I was six. I am so thankful for this opportunity to be able to play in college.”

Peyton will be majoring in business entrepreneurship at Indiana Wesleyan. He explains the positive atmosphere there that drew him to the university.

“I chose Indiana Wesleyan because it felt like home when I took my visit. Everyone is so welcoming and nice, and the facilities and classrooms are top notch.”

Peyton states that he has multiple accomplishments that he is proud of, such as hitting three home runs in one baseball game, winning baseball sectionals, becoming baseball player of the week, being a part of the unified basketball game, maintaining academic honors, and winning homecoming king.

Lear’s favorite part of high school has been winning baseball sectionals and spending time with his friends at various events.

“My favorite part of high school has definitely been winning a sectional with all my best friends that I grew up playing baseball with. Also, just enjoying the student sections and just living up every moment of high school.”

At some point in his life, Peyton would love to go skydiving.
