Athletics can give high school students the opportunity to meet new people and friends, and Northview senior Clint Mager’s experiences on the cross country and track teams are an example of this. Clint describes the role he has played on the cross country and track teams at Northview and his bond with the other members of the teams.

“My biggest accomplishment is being a team leader on the cross country and track teams and getting to lead a group of guys that are close like brothers to me.”

Mager explains that his biggest role model is Stuart Bennett. Stuart was a 2022 Northview graduate and standout cross country and track athlete who passed away in a car accident this past year.

“My role model has always been Stuart Bennett. He was the leader of the cross country team when I was an underclassman, and he always knew what to say when you needed encouragement and always was there to lift your head up. My biggest motivation is to be like him in every way I can be.”

In the future, Clint plans to attend Indiana State University to major in construction management and minor in business.

Mager is the treasurer of National Honors Society and is involved in FCA and the Principal’s Advisory Committee. He is also a three-year member of the cross country and track teams.

Outside of school, Clint has multiple hobbies and interests.

“I like to hunt, play basketball, and frisbee golf with my friends.”

As part of his senior class schedule, Mager interns at the Brazil YMCA. He also works at Strive 365 on the weekends.

Clint’s favorite part of high school has been being able to spend time with his friends.

“My favorite part of high school has been being able to hang out with all of the friends I’ve made over the years I’ve been at Northview.”
