JOSEPH (JOE) STARK TURNER III, Formerly Brazil, IN

Joseph (Joe) Stark Turner III, 83, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on January 30, 2024.

He was born on September 8, 1940 in Brazil, Indiana to the late Joseph and Lois Turner. Joe graduated from Van Buren High School in 1958 and served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966 as a Base Police Officer. Joe spent the majority of his working career as a miner in the underground coal mines of Southern Illinois.

He was so proud of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, enjoying watching them grow and succeed in life. Joe enjoyed watching open wheel racing, especially Indy and Sprint Cars.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Farnsworth. Surviving are his brother David (Donna) of Terre Haute, IN; son A.J. (Andrea) Turner of Simpsonville, SC; daughter Kelly (Brian) DeBose of Marion, IL; son Bill Turner of Cleveland, TN; grandson Brandon Trammel of Nashville, TN; granddaughter Sarah (Connor) Clark of Simpsonville, SC; granddaughter Darian (Paul) Hughes of Clarksville, TN; granddaughter Madison (Jacob) Ellis of Cleveland, TN; granddaughter Hannah Turner of Philadelphia, PA; grandson Micheal Turner of Simpsonville, SC; grandson Hudson Turner of Cleveland, TN and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at Clearview Cemetery, on April 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
