Monday, April 15, 2024

Marah Loughmiller is a senior at Northview High School. She is involved in choir, drama club, National Honors Society, and Excaliburs. Outside of school, she participates in 4-H and the Clay Community Theater. Marah also works at Dairy Queen in Brazil.

Loughmiller is currently interning at Powell Orthodontics in Terre Haute.

“I wanted to intern there because I would get to have an on-site learning experience about my foreseeable future career.”

Marah's goal is to become an orthodontist.

After high school, Loughmiller's plan is to attend Indiana State University and major in business to obtain her Indiana Core 40. Then, she wants to go to the Indianapolis Dentistry School to work towards her goal of becoming an orthodontist.

“I want to pursue being an orthodontist because dentistry has always fascinated me, and this branch of it appeals to my artistic side.”

Throughout her work towards her future career, Marah still wants to keep music in her life.

“I also plan to keep choir and theater a part of my life because I love to sing and could not imagine my life without it.”

Loughmiller states that some of her proudest achievements are her choir awards she was awarded in several competitions.

Marah's role model in her life is her father.

“My dad has definitely always inspired me the most. He is a really hard worker and does so much for my family. He has inspired me to work hard to attain my goals, and more importantly, to never give up.”

Loughmiller explains that her favorite part of high school was participating in her senior year Christmas Spectacular.

“My favorite part of high school was doing my final Christmas spectacular. It was the best one I have ever been a part of. All of my loved ones watched me on the stage, I was a part of a little skit and ensemble, and it was overall a fun time with my choir peers and director.”

At some point in her life, Marah would love to visit Hawaii.

“I would love to go to Hawaii one day to enjoy the beaches and good food.”
