SENIOR SPOTLIGHT - CCHS CAMERON LITTLE

Thursday, April 18, 2024

Deciding on a path after high school can be one of the hardest decisions a high school student can make. Clay City senior Cameron Little was recently in this situation.

“I had trouble deciding on different schools but recently decided and am in the process of enrolling at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.”

Little describes what stuck out to him about Rose-Hulman and why he decided to attend there.

“I saw how their reputation set them apart from other engineering schools and noticed how many opportunities they offered for working in the aerospace industry.”

Little will be majoring in mechanical engineering and minoring in aerospace at Rose-Hulman.

At Clay City, Cameron has been elected to the class office, and he is also a member of the track and cross country teams. Little explains that he has participated in track for four years, and for the past two years he has run cross country to condition for track season.

“I have run track since freshman year and improved in the 100, 200, and 400 meter races since then, and even [placed] reasonably high in my events. I also the past two years ran cross country as well to stay fit.”

Cameron has also played travel and league soccer since he was in elementary school.

“Other than school sports, I have played soccer for leagues and travel teams since I was eight. I play forward positions for the most part and excel in the striker position. I play for the Clay County Comets currently, and I’m proud to be a part of it.”

Little is not involved in the internship or ICE program at Clay City, but he will be interning at Britt Aero in Brazil in the summer following graduation.

At some point in his life, Cameron would love to travel and explore the history of France.

“One of my bucket list [items] is to go to France and see their amazing cities and learn about their history.”
