GOLDIE MARIE CHEESEMAN, Brazil, IN

Goldie Marie Cheeseman, 85, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care, on April 27, 2024.

Goldie was born on March 14, 1939, in Brazil, Indiana the daughter of Edward and Waneta (Day) Head. She worked at CVS as a cashier for more than 23 years. More recently, she worked at the LEAAP Center for 10 years. She married Ralph Cheeseman on June 14, 1957.

She was an avid Elvis fan. She enjoyed bowling, yardsaling, and working around the house.

She attended The Door Christian Church, The Revelation Church, as well as Rock Run Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Waneta Head; her husband Ralph Cheeseman; granddaughter Jessica Parksey; siblings: Bob Head, John Head, Jeannie Head, Bonnie Craig, and Becky Archer; sons-in-law: Jeff Pierce, Kenny Pierce and Jeff Niewald.

Survivors include her daughters: Cindy Schmitz (Jay), Kathy “Fly” Niewald, and Lori Pierce (Rick Parker); grandchildren: Jeremy “Jocco” Glenn (Brendi), Macy Marie Pierce, Kenny W. Pierce (Brandy); great-grandchildren: Leihden Louanne Glenn; Bryer Daniel Glenn, Jackson Pierce, and Kohlson Pierce; siblings: Orie “Boot” Head (Carolyn), Harry Head (Charlene), and Terry Head (Robin); as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, at 1:00 PM with Pastor Gordon Manion officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
