A Camp for Future First Responders
Posted Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:45 AM
Jim Roell is looking to build a cabin for Explorer's Camp, a new program that is set to start this summer in Clay County. They will host teens that have an interest in public safety. Research shows that Indiana will need 14,000 law enforcement recruits from the state's current K-12 student population. Roell has started a GoFundMe to help construct the cabin at Indiana Sheriffs' Youth Ranch (ISYR) pilot program launching this summer.
"The mission of Explorers' Camp is to deliver character-building experiences and mentorship that allow youth to achieve their full potential in both life and work," said Roell. To view the GoFundMe, please visit: https://gf.me/v/c/cxhm/empower-future-heroes-in-sheriffs-youth-camp
Just so you know, photos shared on the GoFundMe are available for use with attribution to the GoFundMe fundraiser. If you're interested in contacting the GoFundMe organizer, the "Contact" button on the GoFundMe will send a direct email to them.
