Prayer is the Answer
Yesterday our granddaughter Lindsay Terry and our grandson-in - law Matthew Terry traveled via air to Houston. Matthew is in the fight of his life against advanced fourth stage Melanoma cancer.
Matt has been through three rounds of chemotherapy and he needs a miracle.
Today he will meet with Dr. Wong and others at MD Anderson Center for consultation and evaluation of his case, and a plan for further treatment or possibly surgery. “Where they
unlock the full potential of Immunotherapy.”
I am not one to ask folks for favors, but if you have a prayer chain, could you add Matthew Terry to that list.
Help this fine man realize the miracle that he hopes for and so deserves.
Prayer is a powerful tool.
Starla and our son-in- law Bruce are staying with the girls, Avery, Piper and Violet until their parents return.
Devin Gamble Jones, a friend of # Team Terry set up a fund for the family to help with Matt’s huge medical and travel expense…
Before I turn on the results of what I am feeling now I will add a few words of what I read last night on this computer.
The article below was to be shared. I did not create, however, it is all about the power of prayer.
Good Thinking
I hired a plumber to help me restore an old farmhouse, and after he had just finished a rough day on the job: a flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric drill quit and his ancient one ton truck refused to start.
While I drove him home ,he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me to meet his family.
As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands.
When opening the door he underwent an amazing transformation.
His face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his small young children and gave his wife a kiss.
Afterward he walked me to the car.
We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier. ‘O, that’s my trouble tree,’ he replied.
I know I can’t help having troubles on the job, but one thing for sure, those troubles don’t belong in the house with my wife and children.. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them.
Then in the morning I pick them up again.’ ‘Funny thing is’
he smiled,’ when I come out in the morning to pick ‘em up, there aren’t nearly as many in the morning as I remember hanging up the night before.
Life does not always be the party we hope for but … We all need a Tree!
