Students 'sew' seeds of kindness (11/16/11)
Students enrolled in a Northview High School beginning textiles course are clothing those less fortunate around the globe through a school project. "My beginning textiles class is making shirts to send to children in many different countries. We've been doing this for about six years now," Family and Consumer Science instructor Joanna Connors said. Brazil resident Corey Greene, a pilot for Air Evac Lifeteam's base in Brazil, was recently honored nationally for excellence in aviation with the 2011 Outstanding EMS Pilot award by the National EMS Pilots Association (NEMSPA).
