Though her schedule is very busy, 2009 Clay County 4-H Princess Darci Chambers, 13, is enjoying every minute "I've been very busy," she said. She is the daughter of Dave and Lisa Chambers, Brazil, and a student at North Clay Middle School. She has been involved in 4-H for six years, currently submits projects for the exhibit hall and at one time showed pigs...

Event set up to help those in need (07/22/09)
The goal of the upcoming "Come Celebrate Recovery" event is to bring people together with the purpose to spark interest in helping others. The Brazil Walnut Theater, located at 24 S. Walnut St., will host the event from 6-9 p.m., July 28-29. There will be live musical performances, dramatic skits, Christian comedy and various entertainment provided by local church out-reach groups...

Officials confirmed three people were taken to the hospital for various injuries sustained during a T-bone collision at the intersection of County Road 700 North and 300 West Wednesday. Although the investigation is ongoing, the Clay County Sheriff's Department released some preliminary information at the accident scene. However, because the victims' were transported to St. Vincent Clay Hospital, the names of both driver's and a passenger were not immediately released...
